Conrad Harding (d. 1746)
Conrad Harding, a theology student from Tundern in Holstein, came to America
in the year 1743 with the sea congregation on the Little Strength. In
May 1744 he lost his sanity. On March 18/29, 1746 he tried to run away
from the Brethren, but drowned in the Lehigh River. He was chastised by
the Lord so that he would not be damned with the world. His body was found
on March 20/31 and buried in Bethlehem on the same day.
