  Westerhausen, Saxony; physician and surgeon; practiced in Nazareth and Lititz; first elder of Nazareth congregation 1744-1746; d Oct. 6, 1761 in Lititz. He m. first in 1739, Mary Dorothea Cartaus, who d on the voyage to America and was buried at sea.

Feb.3/14 NEISSER, Georg, b Apr. 11. 1715 in Sehlen, Moravia,
  a s. of George, who emigrated to Herrnhut in 1723; a member of the Moravian Colony to Georgia in 1755; came to Pennsylvania in 1737 and was one of the original occupants of the first house in Bethle hem; the f irst schoolmaster and post-master; assistant warden in Nazareth; ordained 1748 and served in the ministry, lastly in Philadelphia, where he d Nov. 1, 1784; his re- mains were reinterred in Bethlehem, in Oot. 1886.
MEDLER, Catharina, b 1722 in Waldengenloch, Wurtem berg; came to Philadelphia in 1728 with parents; no male issue; d 1807 in Bethlehem.
