MOEHRING, Johann Friedrich, b Oct. 24, 1737 in Hirschberg, Voigtland , Germany, the second s-of Johann Wolfgang and Magdalena Elisabeth. , mn. Zoellner; educated in the Moravian School at Ebersdorf, and in 1752 went to Herrnhut, where he learned purse-making; employed as "chor-pfleger" in Fulneck, England, in Gracehill, Ireland, and' in Bedford, England, where he was ordained deacon in 1777; in Nov. 1783 came to Pennsylvania; served as pastor of various congregations; d Apr. 11, 1804 in Bethlehem. He m. secondly in 1795, Christine E. Boeckel, who d Aug. 5,1823 in Bethlehem.
