WEINCKE, Anna Christine, b Sep. 10, 1779 in Bethlehem, a dau. of Carl Siegmund and Johanna, mn. Liebisch; d Oct.15, 1810 in Bethlehem. . A son, Charles Samuel, became a prominent citizen of Allentown.

NICOLAUS, Anna Johanna, b June 6,1779 in Hope, N.J., a dau .of Stephan of Hope, N.J. and Anna , mn. Culver; d 1821 in Bethlehem. Children.: Johanna Caroline, second wife of John Rice; Angelica Sophia, wife of Ernst L. Lehman; Anna Pauline, wife of George W. Dixon; Amelia Charlotte, wife of Henry P. Osborne; Christianna Fredericka, wife of Br. Benjamin Wilhelm; Louisa Matilda; and Henrietta who d in infancy.

BENADE, Andreas, b Feb. 20, 1769 in Kleinwelke, Saxony, the third s.of Andreas and Maria, mn. Retschke; came to America in Nov. 1795; 1795 a teacher in Nazareth Hall; from 1800-1813, principal of Young Ladies' Seminary in Bethlehem; in 1801 ordained a deacon, and in 1807, a presbyter; 1822, consecrated a bishop; later served in various congregations; d Oct. 31,1859 in Bethlehem. He m. secondly, in 1811, Maria Henry , b 1788, and d 1858 in Bethlehem.

 

CHRIST, Johanna Maria, b June 25, 1778 in Nazareth, the third dau. of John Jacob (hat maker in Nazareth)and Christina Frederica, mn. Schlosser; d 1811 in Bethlehem; she was survived by two daughters. Sons were James, Charles, and William, the latter a Swedenborgian divine.
