KLUGE, Johann Peter (third marriage), b Oct. 3, 1768 in Gumbinnen, Prussia; baptized in the Reformed Church; his mother a Moravian; in 1789 went to Kleinwelke, where he joined the church; Aug. 2, 1800 came to the United States; and from 18001806 served as missionary to the Indians on the White River, Indiana; missionary in Surinam; also served in various congregations in the States; d Jan. 30, 1849 in Bethlehem.
He m. first, Oct. 1800, Anna Maria Rank, dau. of Philip and Anna Barbara, mn. Stauffer; she d Feb. 1820 in Graceham, Md; of the six children by this carriage, Karl Friedrich, Henrietta, and John Henry were b on the white River; a son, Christian Ludwig was b July 14,1808 in Bethania, N.C.
He m. secondly, in Sep. 1820, Elizabeth Eyerle, who d 1827 in York, Pa; Eliza Theodore, a daughter by this marriage, was the wife of Michael F. Eyerly, of Columbia County.

 

ALBRECHT, Mary Elizabeth, b Feb. 27, 1796, a dau.of Henry and__________, mn. Hubly of Lancaster taught school in Lititz, Nazareth, and Bethlehem; d 1842 in Bethlehem.

ERWIN (IRWIN), Francis, b Feb. 18 ,1803 in Easton, a s, o f Arthur and Mary, mn. Ihrie ; tanner; came to Bethlehem in 1821; d Feb. 8, 1883 in Bethlehem.

 

SCHNEIDER, Johannette Louise, b Dec. 4, 1808 in Bethlehem ehern, a dau.of John and Catharine, Sei fen (?Seyfried); d Mar. 11, 1883 in Bethlehem.
Children: Ambrose J; William A; Edward F; Dr. Be r tin e S; and Mary Catharine, the wife of Horace B. Jones.
In 1879 celebrated Golden Wedding in Bethlehem.

LUCKENBACH, Jacob, b Apr. 2, 1805 in Bethlehem, a s.. of David arid, Maria, mn. Clewell; carpenter and fare r; had extensive business interests in Be Bethlehem; d May 9,1888 in Bethlehem.

 

WHITESELL, Maria, b Aug. 3, 1807 in Lower Mt. Bethal, a dau.of Andrew and Elisabeth, mn. Weinland; d Dec. 30, 1891.
Children: David 0; Andrew A; Jacob W; Emit L., wife o f Lewis L. Doster;________, wife of Albert Ribble; Matilda A., wife of William V. Knauss; Augusta, and two daughters who preceded parents.
In 1879 celebrated Golden Wedding in Bethlehem.

BRUNNER, Samuel, b June 10,1807 in Nazareth, a s. of Christian and Sybilla, mn. Weinland; shoemaker coroner for fifteen years and clerk of town council for thirty years; d Jan. 16, 1880 in Bethlehem.

 

RUDOLPHI, Charlotte Amalia, b July 25,1800, a dau. of Dr. John F. and Sophia Magdalena, . Otto; d Nov. 3,1869 in Bethlehem.
A son, Christian Otto, b Oct. 28, 1830, married Sabina M. Morgan; a daughter, Sophia A., was the wife of Jesse H. Morgan; the children of the two unions are double cousins. A dau., Sara S , was the w. ofJohn D .Snyder.

SIEGMUND Jacob Friedrich, b Nov. 9, 1804 in Sindelfingen, WUrtemberg, a s.of Christian and Dorothea, mn. Schwarz; the parents and a brother, Christian, died in Maryland; blacksmith; cane to America in 1817 with his parents; d Aug. 25, 1883 in Bethlehem.
He m. secondly, in 1851, Henrietta T. Rauch.

 

CHRIST, Julianne , b Aug .28,1806 in Upper Saucon, a dau.of George and Elisabeth, mn. Wind ; d ay 5, 184 9 i n Bethlehem.
They did not have issue.
