Issue, four children, including Aravesta E. wife of Augustus H. Leibert.

LEIBERT, William, b Feb. 18, 1823 near Emaus, a s. of Henry and Catharine, mn. Knauss; came to Bethlehem at the age o 14; learned the tanner's trade from his uncle Joseph Leibert; held many offices In the Church; trustee for 36 years and elder for many successive terms; also held varies borough offices; for a long period treasurer of the school district; d Mar. 6, 1901 in Bethlehem, the last survivor of a family of ten children.

 

KRAUSE, Cornelia Matilda, b My 14,1819 in Bethlehem, a dau. of John and Elisabeth, mn. Beutel; d Aug. 12, 1898.

 

Children Augustus H.; Rev. Morris W; Franklin T, and Emma Jane, wife of Henry T. Clauder.

OERTER, Henry Joseph, b Oct. 1827 in Bethlehem, a s.of John and Anna Elisabeth, mn. Clewell; captain of volunteers in the Civil War; bookbinder; killed Nov. 9, 1864 by persons unknown and bd. in Bethlehem.

 

BLOSS, Magdalene, b Oct. 7, 1826 near Bethlehem, a dau. of John and Radel; many years a member of the corps of sacristans; d July 10,1913 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.H.Huth, in Bethlehem. She was survived by three sons and one daughter, including Alice M., wife of Mr. Huth.

SENSEMANN, Comenius, b Sept. 10, 1818 in Nazareth, a s.of Christian David and Anna Eliza, mn. Ritter; a merchant; d Dec. 4,1887 in Nazareth. He m. secondly, July 11,1876, Caroline S., dau. of Christian Dizinger and widow of Rev. Francis W. Knauss, who d July 15,1872; she d Sept. 29,1927.

 

REICHEL, Sophia Henriette, b Mar. 5, 1822 in Salem, NC, a dau. of Rev. Gotthold Benjamin and Frederica Henriette, mn. Vierling; d. Dec. 28,1872 in Nazareth.

 

Their only daughter, Jennie, vas the wife of Prof. Eugene Schafer.

LOESCH, Aurelia, b Mar. 15, 1824 in. Bethabara, N.C., a dau. of Charles W. and Wilhelmina, mn. Boehler; after the death of her husband taught in the mission school among the Delawares in Kansas; d Apr. 23,1863 in Bethlehem.

BISCHOP, Gilbert (second marriage), b Mar. 20, 1817 in Bethlehem, a s. of Carl David and Anna Maria, mn. Sehneckenberger; a missionary to the Cherokee Indians; d Sept. 27, 1907. He m. first, May 16,1844, Margaret Louisa Morris, who d in 1846.

 

WARNER, Clarissa Marietta, inn. Kern, b July 10,1821; served with her husband in the missions in the Indian country; d June 6,1902.

 

They had issue eight sons and one daughter; survivors were: Charles D; Edwin P; Julius D; Lucius T; and Ira B.

PERKIN, George William, b June 27 ,1818 in Philadlephia, a s.of John and Margareth; a Presbyterian preacher; teacher in the Parochial School; agent in Philadelphia and Bethlehem for the publications of the Church; lived in Wyoming County, Pa., three years in Philadelphia, and later in Bethlehem; d Dec. 10, 1893.

 

SCHMIDT, Jacobina Adelaide, b Apr. 7, 1821 in Bethlehem a dau.of the West Indies missionaries, John Jacob and Louisa Rebecca, ran. Dull; a Sunday school teacher end from 1870-1891 a sacristan; d Dec. 8, 1891 in Bethlehem.

 

They were survived by a son, Harry ; and two daughters, Margaret A. and Mary R., both unmarried.

CLEWELL, Charlotte Olivia, b. Sept. 28, 1820 in Bethlehem, a dau. of George and Elisabeth, mn. Luckenbach; a sacristan of the church; d. Aug. 2, 1900.

 

Children: George A.; Edward F.; Mrs. Banner C. Hasten, of Salem, NC; Laura; and Anna E., wife of A.A. Gardiner
